Volunteers!

Putting on an educational as extensive as the Moo Booth requires an entire army of volunteers.

If you can spare two hours (at least!) of your time to reach out to the public, please contact us. As a volunteer you can choose from a variety of interactive activities, depending on your level of knowledge, enthusiasm and comfort. You can run quizzes, supervise the Kids’ Coloring Corral, talk about digestive systems, run the Moo-lette Wheel, help kids pet a calf, and much, much more.

When you volunteer, you will receive:

  • a free ticket for entry into the Fair
  • a parking pass (for the Employee Lot)
  • a highly-collectible Moo Booth t-shirt.

Your time in the booth will be spent doing a variety of activities, so you could plan to stay for a long time. Many of our volunteers come back for additional days.

If you are interested in volunteering this year, please use our new on-line form or fill out an application form and fax it to us at 715-822-6341, or simply call us at 715-822-6347 pre-Fair or 651-642-2423 during the Fair.

Volunteer Information

Parking for Volunteers

Upon request, all volunteers may receive a parking pass by mail. The parking location is the Employee Lot, five blocks west of Highway 280 on Como Avenue. Volunteers may then ride the shuttle bus (free) right onto the Fairgrounds.
In addition, we can also make arrangements for volunteers to pick up the parking pass & Fair tickets at the employee lot. You will need to call us for the combination to the lockbox.
Please note that the lot is west of 280 on Como, while the Fairgrounds are east of 280 on Como.
