Once again, the Minnesota State Fair is seeking applicants for positions in this year’s State Fair Milking Parlor and Moo Booth. We are looking for people who have experience with and enjoy working with the dairy & cattle industries, dairy & beef animals, and the public.

The Moo Booth is a nationally recognized dairy & cattle educational booth, which educates Fair visitors about the animal side of the dairy and cattle industries. It has been featured nationally on television and in magazines. It has also been the focus of regional, state and local industry and media attention. The booth provides fun, educational activities, displays and contests to assist in the education of Fair visitors. The booth operates with paid staff and a large volunteer staff.

The milking parlor serves many functions at the State Fair. We milk and supervise the milking of the exhibitors' cattle. We also hold regularly scheduled demonstration milkings for the public utilizing a herd that is hired for that specific purpose. We have speakers available during demonstration and regular milking times to explain the milking process and the dairy industry to the public, as well as answer any questions that might come up.
